Thrift store cannabis finds #1 - 60 Watt HPS - Worth the time

What's up growers? Do you ever like to get cheap grow equipment? Well, let me tell you about how I love to go to a local thrift store and flea markets.

When it comes to growing cannabis it can take a few items like fans, lights, tents, pots, and the list can go on. Well, I am here to show off a few things that I have picked up.

The first thing that I want to show off is the sweet book I saw. I never ended up buying this book but I thought it was a sweet-looking book for collectors.

You can see from these photos this book was written back in 1958 but this was the 1996 revision. High Cuisine The Cannabis Cookbook. I found a recipe for some Refried Beans and corn Bead. I love me some Beans so this was the one I pick to share. you can find the whole recipe in the photos below.

The second thing that I want to show I did buy and will now be keeping my eye out for more. This 60 HPS (High-Pressure Sodium) light is going to be a great addition to my grow tent.

I was talking with @jonyoudyer over in Canna-Curate discord that I think for a cheap low cost set up you could run 4 or 5 of these and end up lighting up a 2x2 with 280watts. With no need for a ballast, it is really cost-effective.

The third thing that I was able to find is going to help me come summertime. When we hit around 30c with 100% humidity my grow area is in and around 32c and almost always have to leave the tent door open.

This arctic air is a small tiny portable air conditioner that also helps humidify that area. Now cause this is going in a 2x4 tent I think it will work great.

With that information, I really think us growers could do out part to get cheap items and upcycle used items for our grows.

I know from experience that you can find some great growing treasures and with grow becoming legal in more places you can be sure to find more.

I also got this fourth item that was bought more for nostalgia value than anything. This light bulb with what I have been reading is what an old-style Edison bulb looked like. I will not be using this more be a display as I don't think many people know what old bulb looked like.

The total was a great deal for the 4 items I have shown I only bought 3, Kind of wish I would have bought the cookbook.. From now on I think I will be buying cannabis books and start and cannabis memorabilia collection.

Please hit that upvote button and follow for some more cannabis grows and reviews.

Thanks for coming and checking out my #cannabis post, I am going to make reviews and grow logs to help Pay for more grow equipment. I have set out a new goal of 150 steem to help go towards a grow fan called the grow devil.

The reason behind this idea is to show the rest of the cannabis space that I can make reviews and grow logs and help pay for the future grows.

@ 50 of 150 Steem Goal - If you would like to help out please send steem to this account and reason in the memo and I will be sure to mention and give you upvotes.

You can check out the old goal that I was able to hit Mars Hydro ts 600

One of the ONLY upsides to legalization here in Canada (and probably elsewhere) is that we no longer get looked at funny when we go shopping for indoor lighting and other obvious cannabis stuff.
But yeah be careful you clean all used grow equipment you pick up. Some people may have shut down because they had mites or something, which may have eggs on the equipment.

Yeah, it is one the only plus things, Everything I buy to grow with gets taken apart and cleaned with 99% ISO. I never thought mites I just didn't want other people dust and such

Iso will do the trick, nothing survives iso. :)
